Back From Cuba II

Here are some more photos of the Amistad in New London. I have been taking many of my photos early in the morning recently, with good results. Yesterday however, there was fog, and it was not the spooky, mysterious, and photogenic kind. Instead, it was  just a heavy haze that burned off later. These are not my best pictures, but the Amistad is  attractive  enough that I decided to post them regardless.
One of these days, it would be nice to catch her under sail, with clear skies.

the pics are nice anyway, but strangely enough that fog moved to the North Shore this morning and I believe it's the very first time I saw fog in May.

Thanks for the post on my blog ( A Color Specialist in Charlotte) I'm glad you liked my post on the beach glass of LI. I LOVE your blog and when I get a free hour I'm going to read the whole thing.

I'm pretty sure I'm be using some of your beautiful photos for inspiration for color schemes, with credit to your site of course. Please bookmark me so you can see the finial results.

I'm a bit homesick for Long Island now. Thanks for the memories :-)

Your pics really show all the ropes very clearly! It's a good angle to shoot, for it belongs to that whole era of sail ships.

That last image is my favorite. Love the angle.

Charlotte,
Glad you like it. Thanks for coming by.

Mari,
It's a pretty enough ship that I like nearly all photos of her. I think our warm spring has brought the fog here a little bit early.

Jeannette,
It was dumb luck because the pier she is tied to, sits very high.

Thanks Erica. Unfortunately I was looking right into the sun.
