The people along the sandAll turn and look one wayThey turn their back on the landThey look at the sea all dayAs long as it takes to passA ship keeps raising it's hullThe wetter ground like glassReflects a standing gullThe land may vary moreBut wherever the truth may beThe water comes ashoreAnd people look at the seaThey cannot look out farThey cannot look in deepBut when was that ever a barTo any watch they keep?

Top to bottom:
Thimble Islands
Greenwich Point
Block Island
West Meadow Beach near Port Jefferson
funny thimble island looks most familiar, but I have never been there. I know the next 2, but do not recognize them as such.
The photo I use on my header is from the Thimble Islands as well.
I really should have used photos of people wading in the water for this post,....but I didn't have any.
