Continued uneducated development will only cost us in the future. As you bear witness to what is left in this blog, you also show what has been lost.
One final thought - something I tend to harp on cause I think it has been forgotten...
If a balance is maintained, there should never be anything like over fishing. That applies to many, many things.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04414561988993487725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3274990900178151828.post-9088988702456451162009-03-27T20:43:00.000-04:002009-03-27T20:43:00.000-04:00Actually I should have said multi-million dollar h...Actually I should have said multi-million dollar homes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12043873610380390344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3274990900178151828.post-32994444976396868312009-03-27T20:19:00.000-04:002009-03-27T20:19:00.000-04:00hmmm..."million dollar homes along the waterfront"...hmmm..."million dollar homes along the waterfront"...it seems like an oxymoron to me...but I am in a melancholy mood today...what has happened to us?Diane KQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09004880049291566936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3274990900178151828.post-45571222167396596412009-03-27T18:18:00.000-04:002009-03-27T18:18:00.000-04:00Whitemist,I think the cod were just plain overfish...Whitemist,
I think the cod were just plain overfished, but concerning the rest of it, I really have no idea.
That's why I chose to focus this post on how gentrification has hurt the fishing industry as well.

Even if everything was perfect regarding the fish populations, these guys would still be under pressure because they would be competing with million dollar homes along the waterfront.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12043873610380390344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3274990900178151828.post-79608810976746538572009-03-27T14:32:00.000-04:002009-03-27T14:32:00.000-04:00I would love to say everything will be alright (fi...I would love to say everything will be alright (fishing wise), but I do not think we have a good handle on what the problem is. The people with power blame nutrients (a food source) and not the kind of food that is being produced.
